One station was reserved for a group of students resplendent in nursing whites. Contractors, architects and engineers, health and science faculty and the MCC advisory council also participated.
Spruce Hall and the programs it houses will continue to serve as a shot in the arm for health care in Northeastern Colorado, he added.
"Community colleges are really ground zero when it comes to community development," Gardner said.
"What you see today is a reflection of the quality programs that we have at MCC," Hart declared.
Several state officials involved in the financing of the project State Treasurer Cary Kennedy, State Rep. Cory Gardner and State Sen. Greg Brophy were among the ribbon cutters, and all three were among those delivering brief addresses.
The work of MCC, Kennedy stated, is highly respected at the state level.
