The race, a multi stage cycling event in which riders compete across Great Britain, is due to enter the borough at about 1.33pm on September 10 during its second stage, the Nottingham to KnowsleyIt then heads out on Hydes Brow before making its way to Rainford Junction on News Lane and Bushey Lane and towards the Rainford Bypass before leaving the borough for Knowsley Safari Park.

The shuttle services will begin taking people back out of the Park from 3.15pm until 5.45pm.
Meanwhile, there a free fun day and shuttle bus service to welcome the Tour of Britain cycle race to Knowsley Safari Park, where the leg finishes.
It will call at existing stops on the route and visit Kings Business Park where some park and ride facilities will be available.
It will then travel along Knowsley Lane, through Knowsley Village, into Huyton along Primrose Drive, Bluebell Lane, Huyton Lane, Prescot By Pass and finish at the Safari Park.
The Safari Park will be open from 10am on the day and the last safari drive will be Skechers Knit Slip On at 12.30pm.
It won't be possible to get into the Park on foot. People arriving by car should get there by 1pm, as parking is extremely limited.
There will also be a free shuttle bus service taking people into the site from Prescot and Huyton, that'll run every 15 minutes from noon.
